There are three common ways of tying dye to fabric and the first is to hand tie the dye on the fabric and the second is to use a roller of the dye on the fabric. The third method is to use a hair dryer or hair straightener to produce heat which melts the dye to the fabric and when that takes place, the fabric is exposed to the heat.

Here are some tips on how to tie dye to a shower curtain. Let’s say you’ve chosen a bright color to tie dye to and are going to utilize the shower curtain as the canvas for your masterpiece. Let’s go over some of the things you need to consider.

First, always try to ensure that the curtain you are using has a very nice finish. Some curtains can have a little bit of give and this can make it difficult to get a true light colored dye to really show up. If you cannot get it to show up perfectly, then don’t worry because you can always stain the fabric and then you will be able to see the coloring properly.

The next thing to think about when you are looking at the kind of dye you want to use is to take a look at the fabric of the shower curtain. If the curtain is a satin or silk material, then you will have to consider whether the fabric can handle the heat given off by the dye.

If you can determine this ahead of time, you will save yourself a lot of trouble in the end because you will know whether or not the fabric will be damaged by the heat given off by the dye. If the fabric can handle the heat without being damaged, then go ahead and go with a more neutral colored shade.

Now when you begin to dye the fabric, you will have to determine whether or not the color will stay on the fabric. You’ll want to hold the shower curtain over the dye and watch for any signs of bleeding.

While you are watching for the bleeding, you should also look for any patches of discoloration that may occur on the curtains. These can become so dark that it is difficult to even see them but they do occur. If you notice that there are signs of discoloration in any patches of fabric, then the curtains are not going to have the durability that you want.

It is important that the dye is allowed to sit for some time on the fabric. The longer it sits, the more it will change its color. If you find that it needs to be cleaned, then be sure to add some sort of cover that is fabric material to the fabric or else you’ll end up having to bleach the fabric again.

After the dye has been sitting on the fabric for a certain amount of time, then you will need to wash the curtains. This is a more involved process, but in the end, you will be very happy that you did it because the color will be much richer and much more defined than if you had simply thrown them into the washer and just washed them.

Remember, when you are trying to figure out how to tie dye to a shower curtain, you want to take care to make sure that you are going with a color that is going to remain the same throughout the year. If you want a bright purple next year, then dye that curtain a light purple next year as well.

If you want to tie dye to a shower curtain and then use it again next year, then use a lighter shade next year as well. By doing this, you can make sure that your shower curtain stays the same color year after year.

If you are going to be tied dye to a shower curtain, be sure to make the correct decision before you buy the curtain. Don’t go with a curtain that will not withstand the dye and is not going to last for the length of time that you need it to.
